MATLAB: Do I receive a “FLEXnet Licensing error:-17,xx. System Error: 10054 “WinSock: Connection reset by peer” on the license server

MATLAB

My network license manager stopped working suddenly and gave an error that connection was lost. I receive the following error in License Manager Status by clicking "Perform Status Enquiry" or executing "lmstat -a".
FLEXnet Licensing error:-17,xx. System Error: 10054 "WinSock: Connection reset by peer"
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing End User Guide,
available at "www.macrovision.com".
Or
FLEXnet Licensing error:-5,xxx. System Error: 10054 ""
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing End User Guide,
available at "www.macrovision.com".
Also, License Manager Log file shows the following message.
xx:xx:xx (MLM) Lost connection to lmgrd, exiting.
This error still occurs even if I reinstall the license manager installation.

This issue may occur if there is a port conflict or you are using old License Manager version with a newer license file.
The license manager (lmgrd) will start and run on the port number at the end of the SERVER line. This error message may occur if another program is trying to use that port, creating a port conflict. To resolve the issue, you can change this to an available port by editing the SERVER line in the license.dat file.
NOTE: If this number is changed in the SERVER line in the license.dat file on the license server, the network.lic file for all MATLAB installations must also be updated.
Each new MATLAB version comes shipped with a new version of the network license manager. If you are running an older version of the license manager, but have continued to update your license file, you may see this issue. In this case, try installing the new license manager software.
