MATLAB: Putting columns together as a table

Hi guys, I have got several variables: a, b, c, d, e. They are all cell arrays and consist of one column and several million rows. I want to put them together as one table. How can I do that? I want it in the following order: abcde.

T.a=cell2mat(a)
T.b=cell2mat(b)
T.c=cell2mat(c)

Note that a and b and c must have same number of rows though.

This should work for numeric, cell and table, although Adam's is likely more efficient for numeric:

MATLAB: Subtract mean from each table by columns

Try this:

t = array2table([rand(10,1),rand(10,1),rand(10,1)],'VariableNames',{'feat_1', 'feat_2','feat_3'})
m = table2array(t);
meanArray = mean(m)
stdArray = std(m)
z = (m - meanArray) ./ stdArray % a matrix
zt = array2table(z, 'VariableNames',{'feat_1', 'feat_2','feat_3'}) % a table
