This is a shot in the dark, but does anyone know of a convenient built-in way to programmatically create screen captures of Simulink blocks and dialogs? This is for documentation purposes. We'd like to show an image of the block and the dialog in the documents but we don't want to manually screencap the block and dialog of upwards of a hundred blocks.

It looks like a repeating sequence block. The block graphic will assume the shape of the sequence data, so it is probably hard to spot in the library. Look at Simulink->Sources in the library.
The ability to do a screen capture is not available in MATLAB 7.7 (R2008b).
To work around this issue, you may try using the 'createScreenCapture' method from Java's 'Robot' class. This example takes a screen capture of a 300-by-300 pixel area in the upper left corner of the screen and writes it to a PNG-file.
