MATLAB: Positive and negative deflection

Hi,

I need to know when a number deflects to either side of a set up value(i.e. find the row where a value differs from 0+-0.5). I have tried this, but doesn't work:

deflection= find(RF>mean+standardeviation |RF<mean-standardeviation).

mean is a built-in function. It requires an argument, like mean(RF). Then it should work.

mu = mean(RF);
standarDeviation = std(RF);
deflectionAbove = RF > mu + standarDeviation % Logical vector
deflectionBelow = RF < mean - standarDeviation
deflection = deflectionAbove | deflectionBelow; % A logical vector
deflection = find(deflectionAbove | deflectionBelow); % A linear index vector

Try something like:

for i=1:num_elems %assuming you know the number of elements and have set it before hand
  eval(['TB(i) = mean(T' num2str(i) 'B);'])
end

What this does is that it evaluates the string as matlab code. Using eval is not recommended in general, but might make life easier for you here. (See Using Eval)

MATLAB: How is RF Blockset different from the older SimRF product

In MATLAB release R2017a, SimRF has been renamed RF Blockset. The Idealized Baseband, Equivalent Baseband, and Circuit Envelope blocks are now part of the RF Blockset Simulink library. There is no major difference in functionality between RF Blockset and SimRF other than the new features listed in the release notes.

With release R2017a, RF Blockset only requires Simulink and RF Toolbox, and it no longer requires Simscape. Simscape remains a recommended product to simulate low-frequency analog electronics and to author your own RF Blockset Circuit Envelope components.
