MATLAB: Plotting the magnitude of a complex fraction

I have a function

H = 1/(1 - 0.5i * exp(-i*2*pi*f)); % In Matlab, f would be defined as: f = 0:0.1:2*pi;

I need to be able to plot the magnitude of H(f) but Matlab won't allow me to define H saying:

%Error using /, Matrix dimensions must agree

What am I doing wrong ?

Raviteja, the above command does store your values as you want. The problem is not with the values, but with how the values are displayed in MATLAB. You cannot make MATLAB display the values in just any way you want. The closest you can get is:

format bank
Ar = round(A*100)/100
Ab = abs(A)  %This looks like what you want, but the full value is there.

MATLAB: Bode() magnitude

Magnitude and phase outputs of bode are 3-D arrays, for representing multi-input multi-output systems. The first two dimensions correspond to the number of inputs and outputs, the third dimension corresponds to the number of frequency points. In your case you have a single-input single-output system, so size(mag) is 1 1 n, where n is the number of frequency points.

To get a standard bode plot you can just do

bode(sys)

If you want access to mag and phase as regular vectors, just do

mag=squeeze(mag)
