i'm using parfor in one of my loops to speed up the process but Matlab only uses 1 cpu, thus it has the same operating speed as without parfor (and i have 4 cpus). How come ?
thanks

i think it's because i don't have the parallel computing toolbox (yet) right? i thought parfor was working because i hadn't any error messages when using it...
And because you don't have the Parallel Computing Toolbox, parfor will run serially anyway. There is more overhead withparfor so I would recommend against using it if you don't have Parallel Computing Toolbox.
You can contact the friendly account manager for your organization to get a trial of the Parallel Computing Toolbox if it interests you.
