MATLAB: MySQL jdbc server not working with Matlab 2019

I changed from Matlab 2018 to 2019 and suddenly I have problems with the MySQL JDBC-Driver. Although it is installed, Matlab can't find it, and I get the following error message:

JDBC Driver Error: No suitable driver found for jdbc:mysql:

Any idea why this might be the case?

You need to copy javaclasspath.txt from prefdir of R2018a (orR2018b) to prefdir of R2019a. In javaclasspath.txt, I suppose you had described the location of MySQL JDBC driver path.

Instead of using javaclasspath.txt, we can use configureJDBCDataSource from R2019a and it's easier to preset MySQL JDBC driver path. Here is a link of documenation.

I figured it out the data source name has to be the same as the database name. Now I am getting another error when trying to use datainsert but it is more like a warning coz when i checked the database the data is inserted just fine.

MATLAB: How to connect JDBC with compiled application

Regarding your last comment, from Powershell and Command Prompt, number is passed to compiled MATLAB function as characters, so, converting to double (str2double) is necessary.

function [] = tampon(server, port, databasename, authType, idEnvironment)
  which database
  if ischar(port)
    port = str2double(port);
  end
  conn = database(databasename, '', '', 'Server', server, 'PortNumber', port, 'Vendor', 'Microsoft SQL Server', 'AuthType', authType)

If you still gets an error, add disp(conn) and confirm JDBC is included properly to compiled exe.

If conn says "JDBC not found error", please try adding "mssql-jdbc-6.2.1.jre8.jar" and "sqljdbc_auth.dll" in "Files required for your application to run" in Application Compiler Window.
