MATLAB: Multiple y-axes for a lineplot and a histogram

Hello,

I'm used to plotyy for creating plots that have multiple y-axes. When I create one of the plots with hist this doesn't work anymore.

any suggestion what I might try? Thanks!

Because your variable "array1" is of type int16, so is variable "LL." The hist() function doesn't seem to be able to manage type int16 input. (That's why you get the error.) You could try

>> hist(double(LL))

to get the histogram.

What you've put doesn't really make sense. See if this is what you want. It computes the histograms of x and y and then plots them.

x=rand(10,1); 
y=rand(10,1);
