MATLAB: Multiple formulas in one function

Hi there!

I have attached 2 pics. There are 7 formulas, the second formula uses the output from the first formula, the third formula uses the output from the second one and so on.

My question is: could I put all these formula in just one function?

I’ve tried creating a function for each formula and after that to include all of them in one big function but it’s not working :(. I don’t know how to call the big function.

Maybe is there somebody and could give me hint for this.

Sure, just compute and return the numerical results

function [n,mu,M,lambda, etc] = Compute7Formulas(inputs)
    n = ......whatever
    M = ...... whatever....
    lambda = whatever
    % etc.

But what I suspect you are asking is whether you can put multiple functions into the same .m file and still be able to call each one from outside of the .m file.

The answer to that is "Not easily". Someone did, however, point out the other day that it is possible to create static class methods that can be invoked by name from outside the .m file. This would require changing the combined .m file into a classdef with appropriate structuring.

I will change my earlier comment into an answer:

Look at these two lines:

 funGLA = quad2d(GLA, 0.05, ta(mt), xi(1), xi(end));
 Int_GLA(mt, mx) = funGA;

You are calculating funGLA but then you are saying Int_GLA(mt,mx) = funGA

funGA is a variable remaining from an earlier calculation, and so every value of Int_GLA is getting assigned to that same number. You should first correct that mistake, and then see if that helps anything.
