MATLAB: Mean between an interval

I want to calculate the mean between a time interval that depends on a variable like P ;

F=[1 10 2 4 6 8];

for q=1:length(F);

P=F(q);

Average=mean(M3(90000-P*0.2*1732:90000));

'' Integer operands are required for colon operator when used as index'' warning is come.. What is the problem here ?

idx = round(90000-P*0.2*1732:90000) ; 
Average=mean(M3(idx));

Your indices are not integers.....you got some fractions also.....so use round.

Note that the indices in MATLAB are positive....ypu cannot use ii = p..you should use like below:

p=input('enter value p');
n=length(p);
suma=0;
for ii=1:length(p)
    suma=suma+p(ii)
end
disp(suma)
M=(suma)/(n);
sumb=0;
for ii=1:length(p)
    sumb=sumb+(p(ii)-M)^2

G=sumb;
variance=((G)^2)/n ;
sdeviation=(variance)^(0.5);
Cv=(100*sdeviation)/(M);
e=Cv/((n)^(0.5));
N=(Cv/e)^(2);
NR=round(N);

Okay, parallel indices into 4 different arrays. Makes sense.

    Ave3OFF(i)=mean(M3(110000:110000+S(i).date*1667));
    Ave5OFF(i)=mean(M5(110000:110000+S(i).date*1667));
    Ave7OFF(i)=mean(M7(110000:110000+S(i).date*1667));

Okay, parallel indices into 3 of the 4 different arrays from above. That's odd, I wonder why the 4th array isn't being used?

    AvethdOFF(i)=mean(thd(110000:110000+S(i).date*1667))

The destination location parallels the block of 4 above, and the code structure parallels the three lines above it, but why have you suddenly switched from indexing an array named Mthd, to instead requesting the calculation of Total Harmonic Distortion (thd) ?
