MATLAB: Matrix manipulation with vectors

Question

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way that I can assign a part of a matrix to a vector. For example I have a 50×50 matrix and I want to assign the first column from the first element in that column to the 46th element to a vector(excluding the last 4 element).
