MATLAB: Matlab Student Version question

Curve Fitting Toolboxtoolbox

Hi everybody,

I currently have the Matlab student version R2010a and I want to buy the Curve Fitting Toolbox. The problem is, on the website it says that the release and platform for optional add-on products must match the release and platform of my Matlab Student version core product. Does this mean that the current release of the Curve Fitting Toolbox wont work on my matlab student version R2010a?

I would really appreciate if you could give me a hint on this.

In my experience, if you have current matlab license, you would be able to download the prior release version that are still supported.

Your R2015b Student Version may or may not have the Control System Toobox (which is a prerequisite for "tf" transfer functions. It really depends on what you have purchased. Can you provide the output of the "ver" command? It returns all installed toolboxes.

What puzzles me is the "SR_Control_Toolbox" name. To my best knowledge, this links to a product that is pretty old and not available for R2015b. Can you also share the return result for the command
