MATLAB: Matlab guide??

hi everybody,

i'm currently developping a small GUI-programm in matlab and i', using the guide. i need a bunch off buttons and editboxes etc. and i find it annoying drawing all these in the guide and clicking to set the strings tags etc.

so my question: is it recomendet to use the guide or shall i work without it? what advantages is the guide providing – else that you see directly where the different items a placed. thx jeff

Personally, I learned to make GUIS with GUIDE but now pretty much only make them programatically.
