MATLAB: Live scripts stored in MATLAB Drive are assumed to be located in Temp folder

I have MATLAB R2019a on Win10 and MATLAB Drive Connector.

Some live scripts are stored in the local MATLAB Drive folder. However, running

fileparts(which(mfilename))

results in

'C:\Users\Diaa\AppData\Local\Temp\Editor'

instead of the expected output

'C:\Users\Diaa\MATLAB Drive'

So, how to fix this in order to be able to add the directories of the running live script folder and its subfolders to the search path using either

addpath(genpath(pwd))

folder=fileparts(which(mfilename)); addpath(genpath(folder));

You cannot do that. LiveScripts are not .m files

This should work regardless if your current folder is the one that contains your m-file, or not.

% Determine where your m-file's folder is.
folder = fileparts(which(mfilename)); 
% Add that folder plus all subfolders to the path.
addpath(genpath(folder));

'test.xls' is not in your current folder. Perhaps it's really called 'test.xlsx' or perhaps it's in a different folder. You can specify the folder it lives in and then use fullfile() to create the full file name.

a = xlsread(fullFilename);

OR use the following to have the user manually locate it:

% Have user browse for a file, from a specified "starting folder."
% For convenience in browsing, set a starting folder from which to browse.
startingFolder = 'C:\Program Files\MATLAB';
if ~exist(startingFolder, 'dir')
  % If that folder doesn't exist, just start in the current folder.
  startingFolder = pwd;

% Get the name of the file that the user wants to use.
defaultFileName = fullfile(startingFolder, '*.xl*');
[baseFileName, folder] = uigetfile(defaultFileName, 'Select a file');
if baseFileName == 0
