MATLAB: Linear regression outputs (regstat function)

betatstat

Why does t value in tstat (using the regstat function) shows two outputs? It’s the same for the “beta” output. Why is there two outputs?

Best Answer

The first one is for the constant coefficient (aka intercept term).
I believe you have only one predictor x, then your model is y ~ beta0 + beta1*x.
The two values correspond to these two coefficients beta0 and beta1.
Hope this helps.
