Yes, your MATLAB online drive is only accessible to you. No outsider has access to it without your account credentials. Unless you have shared the files with someone else. No, there are no issues of similarity softwares finding your files in MATLAB online.
@Andreas, as of 2015a, Matlab printsAcademic License at the top of the command window before the first prompt. That's the only reminder you get for the rest of the session, so not a big deal.
@Leo, just putclc at the end of yourstartup.m. I'm sure it was a very conscious decision by Mathwork, so I doubt they're going to remove it.
Open your preferences in matlab. Under Help, change the documentation location from web to installed locally. Of course, if the documentation is not installed locally it's not going to work either. If so, complain to your administrator.
