MATLAB: Is it Right about horizontal histogram

Is the following information Right about horizontal histogram? (Yes I know histogram is a graph showing the number of pixels in an image at each different intensity value found in that image so we have x-axis representing the bucket intervals, and the y-axis representing the count for each bucket.But in horizontal histogram case y-axis representing the bucket intervals, and the x-axis representing the count for each bucket. And if not please explain me what is right? and What is the need for horizontal histogram?

It seems you have it correct. If you want to plot a horizontal histogram, use the barh function.
