The ability to interface Simulink with ACSL is not available using Simulink 7.1 (R2008a)

To work around this issue, it is possible to use an ACSL software from AEgis which offers an interface to Simulink.

It's much more robust than saving the bitmap in the overlay, which is subject to change whenever you resize the figure window.
