MATLAB: Is it possible to have zoom capabilities when using the GINPUT function

The GINPUT function disables use of Zoom mode by design. As a workaround, you can use datatips, by enabling the Data Cursor Mode to obtain the location of the cursor in a plot. Datatips are available in MATLAB 7.0 (R14) and later. More information on using datatips is available by typing the following command at the MATLAB Command prompt:

To control the behavior of a right-click action when ZOOM is active change the property ‘rightclickaction’ of the zoom mode object.

A value of 'InverseZoom' causes a right-click to zoom out.

You have to round the points returned from ginput to account for floating points. I would also recommend against opening a new figure on each iteration.
