MATLAB: Is it possible to export an imageset as a movie

I have a series of images imported as an imageset into the workspace. Would it be possible to convert this imageset into a video format that I can then export?

See VideoWriter(): https://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2020a/matlab/ref/videowriter.html. Something like this will work

imgSet = % create the imageset object
v = VideoWriter('vidFileName.mpr', 'MPEG-4');
open(v)
for i=1:imgSet.Count
    frame = read(imgSet,i);
    writeVideo(v, frame);
end
close(v)

This assumes that all images have same resolution.

It is easy to use getframe and videoWriter object. Here is an example from the videoWriter object help:

v = VideoWriter('peaks.avi');
open(v);

Generate initial data and set axes and figure properties.

Z = peaks;
surf(Z); 
axis tight manual 
set(gca,'nextplot','replacechildren');

Create a set of frames and write each frame to the file.

for k = 1:20 
   surf(sin(2*pi*k/20)*Z,Z)
   frame = getframe;
   writeVideo(v,frame);
end
close(v);

Dries - consider using the VideoWriter object. A couple of very basic examples can be found at the given link or at writeVideo, but you should be able to extend them for your purposes. For example,

 v = VideoWriter('newfile.avi','Uncompressed AVI');
 open(v);
 for k=1:10      % assumes 10 images to write to file
     writeVideo(v,randi(255,100,200,'uint8'));
 end
 close(v);
