MATLAB: Intel I219 ethernet support Simulink Real Time

Hi all,

is Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM compatible with Simulink Realtime? The Device ID is 0x156F . It seems not to be compatible with the etherCAT (https://it.mathworks.com/help/xpc/io_ref/ethercat-chip-sets.html#responsive_offcanvas)

The listing in https://www.mathworks.com/products/xpctarget/supported/xpc-target-supported-ethernet-chipsets.pdf is for Ethernet cards that can be used for host-target communication. For this purpose Intel Gigabit was supported since R2008b, but NOT for real-time Ethernet communication. For real-time Ethernet communication I8254x Intel Gigabit Ethernet driver (VendorID:0x8086, Device ID:0x109A) support has been added since R2012b. Upgrading to a version that is R2012b or above would be the solution. If yo are on maintenance then you may download the new software without any additional cost.

MATLAB: Is the Intel Pro/1000 MT Ethernet card supported in xPC Target 3.4 (R2008a)

The Intel Pro/1000 MT Ethernet card is supported in xPC Target.

Intel Pro/1000 MT card uses the 82545 chipset and this chipset is supported by xPC Target. In order to use the Intel Pro/1000 MT Ethernet card, use the 'I8254x' driver for the TCP/IP target driver option in xPC explorer.

Please note that the host-to-target communication supported chipset list has been removed from the MathWorks website.

If you are using a Speedgoat hardware, the chipsets that we have tested and can ensure that they will work are inside Speedgoat target computers installed in properly configured Speedgoat motherboards. If you have a question about any specific chipset, please contact Technical Support with the Vendor ID and Device ID.
