MATLAB: Imshow() not working , try a lot times

i have try thousand of times it is not working , using imshow and alll the methods given on internet
command window shows:
Attempt to execute SCRIPT image as a function:
C:\Users\ejaz\Desktop\working space\image.m
Error in images.internal.basicImageDisplay (line 24)
    hh = image(cdata, ...
Error in imshow (line 293)
  hh = images.internal.basicImageDisplay(fig_handle,ax_handle,...
Error in image (line 3)
imshow(a);

Read this once again:
You have a custom file named image.m please move it from MATLAB's path or rename it.
