MATLAB: Identify car tyre from an image and outline it.

Question

i am atempting to identify circular tyre on side view of car. i.e. 1 front tyre and one rear. See image

i tried to identify tyres using imfindcircles() changed its parameters but was unable to see any desired result.

any other algorithm that i should be using.

Also my image can change in order to give more light on tyres in order to distinguish between black tyre and fender.
