MATLAB: I want to use unicode transportation symbols on plots.

For example, the rocket symbol U+1F680 in a text command. Can someone point me to the correct code syntax?

The syntax is pretty simple. You'll want to use the UTF-16 form, which looks like this:

text(.5,.5,['Rocket = ', hex2dec('d83d') hex2dec('de80')])

The problem is going to be finding a font that includes it. Very few fonts contain characters like this. The only one I found on my machine was one named 'Segoe UI Symbol'. All of the others displayed "tofu" for this character.

Why not use SUBPLOT?

By the way, a figure is the window that holds the axes object. If you want them on the same axes, do

semilogx(f,x)

MATLAB: Printing “Scope” plots.

It would be better if you can specify what is actual issue with printed output.

But I can suggest to try print to figure using File > Print To Figure.

The MATLAB figure window has better flexibility in setting the print size than the Simulink Scope window.

So, from the Figure window, click File > Print Preview. Then you can set "Use manual size and position" and use the "Best fit" option or set the margins manually.

Also, to print it with actual scope color you can use ‘Color->Background Color->same as figure’.
