MATLAB: I have problems with “To Workspace”

Hi. I am using R2020a, and have some problems with using a To workspace block.

First, even though I set the variable name of the block y, the name of the output in the workspace is still 'out'.

Second, the matrix of the 'out' result is always 1 by 1.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

'out' is just the name of the structure that includes all the variables in all the "To Workspace" blocks. Your variable is in out.y. Just type in "out.y" in Command Window after simulation is done.

 Try storing variables in base work space by,
 assignin('base','name of variable u want to save','value of variable');
 To access variable
 v = evalin('base','name of variable u want to access');
 % the variable's data is now stored in v.

MATLAB: Change variable Name of “To Workspace”

I believe you may be seeing the effect of some model configuration parameters at work. In the model configuration parameters, check to see whether Single simulation output is checked.

If you do not want all your data returned in one variable, you can clear this option. If you're ok with the single simulation output, you can also change the name used for the default variable in the model configuration parameters.
