MATLAB: I cant download anything from Matlab servers.

cant downloadMATLAB and Simulink Student Suite

Hello, im trying to install Matlab 2017a but, i cant download the installer from website, i tryed changing the internet, the browser, deactivate firewall and proxys etc, but i only can enter to my acount but not downloading.

also, I have a matlab installer 2017b, let me enter my account, I see my license but does not connect to the server.

Its the Matlab servers okey? or its my PC with problem? THANKS!

The last outage listed on the status page was on February 4th. I second Rik Wisselink's suggestion to contact Technical Support with any error messages you received when you tried to download.

MATLAB: Do I receive “Host ID Error” after selecting a license file during installation

This error occurs when you are installing on a client machine and the network license file is missing the SERVER line.

The SERVER line identifies the license server, so that MATLAB can contact the server to acquire licenses.

When this line is absent, the installer assumes you are installing on the license server. It compares the Host ID of the license file to the system's Host ID.

This can also occur if you are setting up the network license manager and choose a Typical installation rather than a custom installation.

If you are performing the network license manager installation, make sure you choose the "Custom" installation and select the license manager to be installed.

If you are installing a MATLAB client, acquire the network license file from the license server. The license.dat file on the server machine is located in:

 $MATLABROOT/etc ($MATLAB\flexlm for releases prior to R2010b on Windows)

(where $MATLAB is the MATLAB installation directory)

Once you have directed the installer to a license file with a valid SERVER line, it will complete successfully.

Before MATLAB clients are able to check out a license key from the license server with the Network Concurrent license, make sure that the License Manager is installed. Please see here for instructions:

Once the License Manager is installed, copy the license.dat from the server (by default located in $MATLABROOT/etc, e.g. C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2019b\etc) to a folder on the clients.

Deactivate MATLAB:

As a next step, remove the old license activation from the MATLAB installations. For instructions, see the following article:

Re-activate MATLAB:

After the deactivation is complete, launch MATLAB. It will ask for a new activation. In the Activation programme, select ‘Activate manually without Internet’. Proceed with the steps. When prompted for the license file, point to the license.dat file. MATLAB should now use the Network Concurrent license.
