MATLAB: How to writetable to cell array

Hi,

I have a cell array of tables. I want to write these individual tables stored within the cell array to .csv. Using cell2table merges the tables which is not what I want. Please could someone provide an example code of how to write tables stored within a cell array to .csv. I'm assuming this can be done via a loop however after hours of searching I've had no luck. Many thanks!

Where C is your cell array:

for k = 1:numel(C)
    F = sprintf('file_%d.CSV',k);
    writetable(C{k},F)
end

Sadly, no. A OutputFormat formatting string or NumericPrecision option is not available.

I presume since a table can contain any data type including cells too many possibilities are opened up that TMW hasn't wanted to venture down that road.

Does seem like worthy of some design consideration for the normal cases, though, granted...

For text files, the numeric format is long g.

MATLAB: Error When Using Writetable Function

It seems like writetable() has trouble handling the case where a variable in your table contains a cell which itself contains an Nx1 cell array. Does it work if you concatenate your original cell arrays using square brackets?

This results in the error:

T = table({num2cell(1:9)'});
writetable(T,'CodeResults.xlsx');

This doesn't:

T = table({num2cell(1:9)});
writetable(T,'CodeResults.xlsx');
