ThingSpeak supports bothREST andMQTT. If you use MQTT, updates to a channel's feed will be sent immediately to a client subscribed to the ThingSpeak MQTT broker.

In R2019a and earlier, BLE support is not available in MATLAB. BLE devices which support the Bluetooh Serial Port Profile (SPP) can be connected by using the Bluetooth support from Instrument Control Toolbox:
