MATLAB: How to restore previous versions of the mat file

matfile restore deletion

Hi there, my mat file variable contents all of a sudden disappeared.

Is it possible to restore a previous version of my mat file and its variables?

I know this is possible on matlab online but what about the regular standalone matlab installation?

Sorry, no. You would have to hope that your regular backup procedures saved a copy.

Your operating system or third-party utilities might provide undelete methods. Or perhaps your systems administrator happened to capture a copy of the file on a backup.
