MATLAB: How to remove the border surrounding a MATLAB figure

I would like to remove the border surrounding any MATLAB figure which contains the MATLAB logo and figure number on it.

The ability to remove the border surrounding a MATLAB figure is not available in MATLAB 7.12 (R2011a)
