MATLAB: How to plot points after smoothing

I am planning to plot Voltage vs time. the following are the steps and i took all the data from a .csv file. t=a[:,1] data=a[:,2] y=smooth(t,data,1,'loess') plot(y) I am able reduce noise in wave with above program. But when I plot data points with respect to time all the data points are shifting away from the wave.

Are you sure that you want use anti-aliasing? Linesmoothing is an undocumented feature.

You can use the smooth function to smooth your data:

You want to plot them both, either using hold on between plots, or in the same plot command.

original_x = [1.0 2.0 3.0];

smoothed_x = [1.0 1.5 2.0 2.5 3.0]; %get these how you want

smoothed_y = [4.0 4.5 5.0 5.5 6.0]; %get these how you want
