MATLAB: How to plot multiple bode plots in one figure

Hi,

     I am using matlab/simulink 2012. Is there any way to plotting several bode diagrams into same figure. For example i have system with parameters and i am using generating gain in matlab file and using this gain in simulink model. I do a bode plot for parameters and then i changes some parameters in matlab file again generating gain and again do bode plot using bode block in simulink.

but for comparison reasons i would like those two plots in same figure. how should i do this ?

When you open the dialog for Bode Plot block, the third tab, called "logging" lets you save the linear system into MATLAB workspace.

Once you have the system in MATLAB workspace you can just use bode command to plot multiple systems on the same plot, i.e.,

bode(sys1),
hold on;
bode(sys2,'r');

To plot a new set of bode plots on the existing subplots, while preserving the previous plots, use the handle to the subplot. This will allow bode(sys1) and bode(sys3) on the same set of axes after producing a new subplot - bode(sys2) - between the first and third subplots. The following code illustrates this:

h1 = subplot(211);
bode(sys1);
hold on;
h2 = subplot(212);
bode(sys2);
hold on;
set(gcf,'currentaxes',h1);

MATLAB: To plot two bode diagrams, one is obtained from linearization tool and the other one is obtained from calculated transfer function, in a single figure.

There should be a Data Browser pane on the left side of the Linear Analysis Tool window. If you can't see the pane, then you might need to click the Data Browser tab on the left edge of the window and Restore it. Once you have the Data Browser open you can click and drag variables from the Base Workspace into the Linear Analysis Worksapce or go the other way. If you're working in the base workspace, you can make your Bode plot at the Matlab command prompt:

>> bode(sys1,sys2)  % or use any other options of the bode command

If you want to work in the Linear Analysis Tool, highlight the variables you want in the Data Browswer -> Linear Analysis Workspapce pane and then select the plot you want under the Plots and Results tab.
