MATLAB: How to keep the opacity of the panel

Hi everyone. My gui has a background of a photo using "axes". My gui also contains panels. Whenever I execute the program, my panel becomes transparent and all is left to that panel are the buttons,static text and edit. So I wanted to keep the color background of my panel but I do not know how to resolve this. Need Help. Thank you.

About the only way I can think of that happening is if the color of the uipanel got set to 'none'.

If you use the debugger, then what command triggers the transparency ?

First of all, I think you should use a togglebutton, as with a pushbutton the edit box would go invisible as soon as you let go of the mouse button.

for the button callback:

if get(hObject,'Value')
    set(handles.editTag,'Visible','On')
else
    set(handles.editTag,'Visible','Off')
end

Where editTag is the Tag of your edit button (The default is edit1)

I solved this turning the panel into an axe and then:

line([0,N],[500,550],'LineWidth',3,'Color','#7E2F8E', 'Parent', panel);
