how to find the no of colors and name of the colors in an object eg: tomato

Perform white/color calibration, image segmentation, and then use my FEX submission:

Or try some of the FEX submissions, e.g.:

You can use the few matlab built in colors ('red','green,'blue,'black','white','cyan','magenta','yellow'),

plot(...,'color','green',...)

but you could also just declare a variable that is that vector, i.e.

g = [0 0 1]
plot(...,'color',g,...)

None of those other colors are accepted by MATLAB color specifications.
