MATLAB: How to find length of a line

area enclosed by a linelength of line

how i can find the length of this line in the x direction and in y direction

      line(newBoxPolygon(:, 1), newBoxPolygon(:, 2), 'Color', 'R');

This piece of code draws a rectangular polygon , can anyone tell me how to calculate the width and the height generated by this line. Thank you

Let X = newBoxPolygon(:, 1) and Y = newBoxPolygon(:, 2), then

width = max(X) - min(X)
height = max(Y) - min(Y)

For a line from (x,y) to (x,y+height), Use this:

line([x x], [y y+height]);

From origin it could just be

line([0 0], [0 height]);

There is a problem with the lines of code containing:

      max(x) = Navios
      min(x) = Navios

max and min are built-in functions, you can't use them as variables
