MATLAB: How to dock the workspace window in the command window

My workspace window mysteriously came undocked from my command window. How do I re-dock it? (This is on Mac)

On the tool bar, click Layout then default

desktop = com.mathworks.mde.desk.MLDesktop.getInstance;
desktop.restoreLayout('Default');
pause(0.1);
desktop.getMainFrame.setMaximized(1);

Some further commands to influence the command window: FEX: CmdWinTool

grab the title bar of the window you want to move and drag it to the place where you want to dock it.
