MATLAB: How to Copy and Paste a Simulink model into an external software’s GUI

I would like to copy my Simulink model into another application (such as Visio or Word).

I tried to copy and paste it directly from Simulink into the other software, but it did not work as I expected.

This enhancement has been incorporated into R2006b. For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

There are 2 main ways to do it:

1. Use "Edit -> Copy Model To Clipboard", and then paste it into the document.

2. Click on the Simulink model window, and press "ALT - Print Screen".

Then, paste the image into Visio software. (Using "Edit -> Paste" menu item or "CTRL-V" buttons).

MATLAB: Copy/Paste Simulink model into word: Variable names does contain additional “space” character after process

I still struggle to understand the issue. When I select "Copy Model to Clipboard" from the model's menu and paste it into MS Word, I see a screenhot of the model. OK. But what are "model variable names"? Signal names? Block names? Parameters in certain block masks?
