MATLAB: How to convert/project a stack of CT images to a 2d X ray image.

Question

Is there a way to consolidate/project a stack of coronal plane CT scans of the thorax onto a DXR image ( 2d digital X-ray image ). For puporses of ML I need x rays but I only have the CT scans. Thank you for your help.
