MATLAB: How to convert MATLAB variables to Simulink Parameters

I have several MATLAB vars in the base workspaces. Now I want to create Simulink.Parameter objects using the MATLAB vars' names. In another words, I wanna convert MATLAB variables to Simulink Parameters. All the operations need to be fulfilled in command line. Anyone who can give some help? Thanks !

There may be some better way to do it, but this works. The storage class below is the one I use when I need to make a parameter tunable in a dSpace Autobox.

par = Simulink.Parameter;
par.RTWInfo.StorageClass = 'ExportedGlobal';
par.Value = myWorkspaceVariable;
myWorkspaceVariable = par;

Write a script to collect the name, data type etc of all your workspace variable and make a loop to create Simulink.Parameter variables based on above info.

This is not a bug. The following warning appears when you generate code with the parameter object in the model workspace:

 Warning: The storage class for parameter 'p1' (in workspace 'testingSimulinkParameter') is ignored because only 'Auto' storage class
 is permitted for parameters in the model workspace. Either correct the storage class or move the parameter to the base workspace.
