MATLAB: How to combine two plots into one

I am using MATLAB R2018 b. I have two plots with same x but, the limits of y axes are different. Both plots has a line and some data points (different color of the line and shape of the markers). These two plots are output from two different scripts. I want to combine these two plots to compare my results.

I am unable to use the dock figure option which was suggested for one such similar questions in the community.

Any help would be appreciated.

Plot both data series on the same axes either in the same plot call, or use the hold function with two plot calls.

It depends on what you intend by ’smooth’.

Try this:

I = openfig('scma25.fig');
Ax = gca;
Lines = findobj(Ax,'Type','line');
for k = 1:numel(Lines)
    X(k,:) = Lines(k).XData;
    Y(k,:) = Lines(k).YData;
    pv(:,k) = polyfit(X(k,:), Y(k,:), 3);
    yf(k,:) = polyval(pv(:,k),X(k,:));
end
figure
semilogy(X', yf')
grid
legend(Ax.Legend.String)
xlabel(Ax.XLabel.String)
ylabel(Ax.YLabel.String)

It uses polyfit and polyval to fit your data, then plots the fitted data in a new figure. It also re-uses your axis labels and legend strings.

MATLAB: I have attached a fig file in which I have used 3 legends for upper, middle and lower curve, respectively. Actually, there are six lines in each curve but I want each curve to look like a single line. How is it possible using fig file.

ylabel(Ax.YLabel.String)

It is difficult to determine what you want for each single line, so here I took th mean of each consecutive group of 6 Line objects.
