MATLAB: How to capture sony digital video camera live stream

I have a Sony digital video camera DCR-SR46. I tried to record a video stream using PC but I couldn't. once I connect the USB cable, recording is not functioning.
I didn't find my Cam in Matlab Image Acquisition Toolbox Devices.
How Can I solve this issue? I have to make face detection project from live recoding using an external camera.

In order to record live video with the Sony DCR-SR46, you need to plug the supplied A/V cable in to the camcorder, and you need to connect the yellow RCA video jack into the Video In port of a video capture device of some sort. Some graphics card have built-in video capture, many do not, so you might need to buy a video capture device that is compatible with MATLAB.
This will be for the transfer of live Analog video, not for digital transfers; you cannot get live digital transfers with that model of Sony camcorder. You might be able to remotely control the camera focus and zoom from the computer, but I lack the patience to track that possibility down through the 100-ish different models of remote controls that Sony offers.
If you have been examining Sony's PBM software, then you need to know that PBM is only for playing back already-recorded movies; the software uses file transfer mode to transfer the movie file and then plays the movie file on the MS Windows PC.
Basically that model of Camcorder is too old for routine live digital movie transfer. When I glanced at the model series about three years ago, all of the models that supported live video over the computer link had "X" in their name.
