MATLAB: How to calculate and write an excel from a file into workspace

Dear all,
    The n_flies from work space was shown object numbers and frame number. im trying to calculate the code to extract the maximum number of objects by interval of 60 frames. Now i can only print the results to command window.  
     I would like to get the results on an excel or csv format. How can i write it?
Please kindly suggest. Thank you

xlsread (‘filename.xls’,Range)
xlswrite(‘filename.xls‘)
This will do what you are looking for.
