MATLAB: How to apply gaussian filter on images of type double in Matlab

I have an image of type double and when i apply gaussian filter using built_in function ( gaussian = imgaussfilt(image);) ,I found this error " Undefined function 'imgaussfilt' for input arguments of type 'double'."

does anyone know how to apply gaussian filter on this image??

Note: I'm using Matlab 2013a

The error message means, that the function imgaussfilt is not found. Either you did not install the Image Processing Toolbox or have no active license for it. The solution is to install this toolbox.

You can use imgaussfilt function for 2-D gaussian filtering as below:

I = imread('mypic.jpg');
Iblur = imgaussfilt(I, 1);

where the second input of imgaussfilt is standard deviation sigma.

A Gaussian filter blurs the image, so it can be like a "background" image. If you subtract that from the original image or one that is not blurred as much, it gives edges. This is called a Difference of Gaussian filter, or DOG filter. I've attached a demo script, below the image.
