I want to apply AES algorithm on sound image and video file. For that I need to convert them in text file. How should I go about it. Plz help.

No, there is no reason to convert the file to a text file. AES can encrypt the binary contents of the file directly, because any file can be interpreted as sequence of bytes.

fclose(fid);

All AES implementations I've ever seen work on Byte arrays.

If you want some stronger encryption, please explain this explicitly. We do not discuss about really strong encryptions in this forum for legal reasons, which I do not accept as serious and useful, but respecting existing laws is a good point to start from.
