MATLAB: How can i generate this chromosome

how can i generate this chromosome? I tried to generate randomly this chromosome [2 2 3 1 2 3 1 1 3]. this chromosome represents that I have 3 jobs and each job has 3 tasks. I need this chromosome to use genetic algorithm.

I would start by creating an array containing the numbers you want in it and then using randperm to generate a random random order.

Numjobs = 3;
NumTask = 3;
chromosome = repmat(1:NumTask,Numjobs,1);
order = randperm(NumTask*Numjobs);
chromosome = chromosome(order)

[m,n]=size(B) %just for test

B is matrix with m=40 and n=20, so you have 40 choromosomes with each having 20 genes.

The BASECOUNT line has been removed from GenBank-files in Release 137 format. The GENBANKREAD function, used to read in the GenBank-files, looks for the BASECOUNT line before it reads in the sequence information. If this line is not found, the function stops reading from the file.

Use it to replace the $MATLAB/toolbox/bioinfo/bioinfo/genbankread.m file (where $MATLAB is the root directory of your MATLAB installation).
