Hi,

I have tried reproducing the issue on my end. I would state that you are following the correct method to extract the centroid of the given figure. The centroid coordinate so obtained is the mean of coordinates of all the contour points in the given image. I am attaching the image of the figure along with its centroid.

Well, the definition of the centroid is simply the mean of the coordinate of your points, so:

 [rows, cols] =ndgrid(1:size(yourimage, 1), 1:size(yourimage, 2));
 centroidrowcol = mean([rows(:) .* yourimage(:), cols(:) .* yourimage(:)])

Although, I'm not sure there is much value in calculating the centroid of the image you're showing...

You can solve this by storing the data in a cell array.
