MATLAB: Getting handle for interpreted MATLAB function in Simulink

Hi,

I am building a GUI for a Simulink model that contains an Interpreted MATLAB Function block. I want to update the variables inside the MATLAB function of the Interpreted MATLAB Function block using the GUI. But I can't get the handle for the Interpreted MATLAB Function block. Any ideas on how to do this ?

Hello,

How do you try to catch the handle? Using get_param($blockRoot,'handle'), I catch the handle.

Using set_param($blockRoot, 'MATLABFcn', fcnName), I can change the function in the mask of the Interpreted Matlab function.

Something like this should work.

rootHdl = get_param(bdroot, 'Handle');
sysIns  = find_system(rootHdl, 'BlockType', 'Inport');
sysOuts = find_system(rootHdl, 'BlockType', 'Outport');
inportNames  = get_param(sysIns, 'Name');
outportNames = get_param(sysOuts , 'Name');

Run this in your MATLAB version to bring up the document.

web(fullfile(docroot, 'simulink/ug/comparison-of-custom-block-functionality.html'))

Use "MATLAB Function" block. Avoid using "Interpreted MATLAB Function" block as it is not supported for code generation.
