MATLAB: F-OFDM filtering for 5G

I saw in the LTE HDL toolbox, there's this example of HDL code generation for F-OFDM transmitter.

However I couldn't really find any mention of F-OFDM filtering in 3GPP release 15. Is this only a candidate filtering scheme that has not been standardized yet? If there are any pointers that link F-OFDM to the standard, can you please share them with me?

You are right - this is not a formal part of the 5G standard.

You can look at this example to see how F-OFDM behaves vs. OFDM.

Take a look at the 5G Library for LTE System Toolbox which includes 3GPP NR (New Radio) 5G LDPC coding and NR CP-OFDM (along with filtered and WOLA variants).

You will require a license to the LTE System Toolbox to install the 5G Library.

Exactly the same reason as before.

In your R2015a version, in every case in which the routine you are offering has a step() method, you need to convert

variable(values)

 step(variable, values)

You need to stop looking at the examples for releases later than yours. I posted the link to the R2015a documentation already.

Every time you see a "Array formation and parentheses-style indexing with objects ..." message, you should be switching to use step()
