MATLAB: Extract value at a specific location

Hello,

I am trying to extract a value at a specific point based on its latitude and longitude, I have a Temperature matrix(from a netcdf file) at different latitude and longitude I should get Temperature at a specfic location that is not figuring in the matrix I tried with interp2:

Tst=interp2(T1,lon_desired,latitude-desired)

but I get NaN

Could someone help me fix this issue.

Tst=interp2(T1,lon_desired,latitude-desired)

Don't supply the coordinates of the reference T array so the values requested are outside the ranges 1:N,1:M, the dimensions of the array T1 undoubtedly. See the doc for usage details; you need the first syntax shown.

Change the line inside for-loop to this

qlatlon{i} = interp2(lonref,latref,q2d.',longitude,latitude);
                                         % replace longitude,latitude with the quey point, both should be of equal size

Also I used cell array because the output of interp2 can be a vector that cannot be assigned as an element of a numeric array.

MATLAB: How to re-center spatial data (longitudes centered on 0) before grid interpolation

To change 0 to 360 grid to -180 to +180, you need not to interpolate. Check resolution between 0 to 360, take the same resolution from -180 to +180 and replace 0 to 360 with -180 to +180. Once you have done this, then you may go for interpolation to get the grid for any other resolution.
