MATLAB: Error using unzip (line 84)

I need to unzip files automatically in my matlab and when I use the unzip function, I can't unzip a file ending in .sp3.zip.

I need a solution, being able to use some external command, anything, however, needs to be fast because I will work with a large volume of data.

Attached is an example of the data I'm trying to unzip and can't.

The file is not zip and is not gzip either.

If you happen to be using Mac or Linux, then rename the file to end with .Z and then use the system uncompress utility

!cp igs18143.sp3.zip igs18143.sp3.Z
!uncompress *.Z

Automatic startup of the MATLAB license manager on OS X is currently implemented as a SystemStarter shell script. This is no longer supported on OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

In order to start license manager at boot you will need to create a plist file and save it into /Library/LaunchDaemons. You may use the sample below (also attached) as your plist boot script, just make sure to edit username field.

Note, you cannot run license manager as root so you will need to specify a user that will run it.

Support for inserting characters t ypes has been incorporated in Release 2012b (R2012b). For previous product releases, read below for any possible workarounds:

There is a limitation in Database Toolbox 3.10 (R2012a) in the way that it does not support nchars containing only one character.

To work around this limitation please install the attached patch:

1. Log in to an account with appropriate permissions to overwrite files in your MATLAB installation. On Linux systems, this is typically the root account.

2. Locate your MATLAB installation by typing matlabroot at the MATLAB command prompt. This folder is referred to as <MATLAB> in subsequent steps.

3. Exit MATLAB.

4. Download the attached .zip file associated with this Bug Report and store the file in the <MATLAB> folder.

5. Make a backup copy of each of the files listed in the .zip file. To see the contents of the .zip file open the .zip file in Winzip or Linux equivalent and look at the contents.

6. Extract the files from the .zip file.

a. Open the .zip file.

b. Extract the contents of the file to your <MATLAB> folder.

7. Delete the .zip file in the <MATLAB> folder.
